SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate where the VOTOMASSA SEALANT AND ANCHORAGE SETTING mortar will be applied must be dry, clean, free from dust, oily substances, paint, mortar remains or other conditions that can prevent bonding.

MORTAR PREPARATION

In a clean recipient, place 6.8 to 7.2 liters of water and a bag of VOTOMASSA SEALANT AND ANCHORAGE SETTING. Mix until a homogeneous mortar, without air pockets, is formed. The VOTOMASSA SEALANT AND ANCHORAGE SETTING may be prepared using a mechanical mixer (continuous mixer or by batch).

MORTAR WORKING TIME

The maximum working time of VOTOMASSA SEALANT AND ANCHORAGE SETTING is of 2 hours from the beginning of the mixture. During this period it is not recommended to add water or any other product. Remix before applying.

MORTAR APPLICATION

Spread the mortar on the blocks or bricks. When setting the blocks or bricks, press them for good mortar bonding to the block or brick. Immediately after, remove the excess mortar on the sides, with the margin trowel. The setting must be carried out using dry pieces, with joint thickness of, at least 1 cm for the conventional (margin trowel) or rationalized (squirt bottle or channel) process.

IMPORTANT

Use protection gear such as glasses and rubber gloves.    In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water. If there is drying, apply a hydrant lotion.    In case of eye contact, immediately wash with plenty of water and find medical assistance.    In case of ingestion, immediately find medical assistance.
