SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate where VOTOMASSA STRUCTURAL SETTING will be applied, must be flat, clean, dry, free from dust, oily substances, paint, mortar remains or other conditions that may prevent bonding.

MORTAR PREPARATION

In a clean recipient, place 7.3 to 7.7 liters of water and a bag of VOTOMASSA STRUCTURAL SETTING. Mix until a homogeneous mortar, without air pockets, is formed. The VOTOMASSA STRUCTURAL SETTING may be prepared with the mechanical mixer (continuous mixer or by batch) .

MORTAR WORKING TIME

The maximum working time for VOTOMASSA STRUCTURAL SETTING is of 2 hours from beginning of the mixture. During this period the addition of water or of any other product is not recommended. Remix before applying.

MORTAR APPLICATION

Spread the mortar on blocks or bricks. When setting the blocks or bricks, press them for good mortar bonding, to the block or brick. Immediately after, with the margin trowel, remove the excess mortar on the sides. The setting must be carried out with dry pieces, and a joint thickness of, at least 1 cm for the conventional (margin trowel) or rationalized (squirt bottle or channel) process.

IMPORTANT

Use protection gear such as glasses and rubber gloves.    In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water. If there is drying, apply a hydrant lotion.    In case of eye contact, immediately wash with plenty of water and find medical assistance.
